I apologize to whatever few regular readers I may have; this last week has been quite the whirlwind. I will be back on schedule by this next Saturday with what will hopefully prove to be a very interesting article.

Binary Narrative is the blog of Samuel Gronseth, an aspiring writer who independently studies video games as a narrative medium while officially studying writing in college. He is also working on a video game, but more on that later.

The goal of this blog is to inspire thought and ideas regarding interactive art theory, a field that is only really beginning to be developed. There is a lot to learn, discover, and create, and Binary Narrative hopes to help with that process.

The fact is, video games are an exciting new art form that is home to interactive art, one of the most important and exciting artistic developments in history and something that is quickly becoming an important cultural staple. It's something that deserves to be understood and explored. So let's try.
